Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)

Description: CAD occurs when the blood vessels that supply oxygen and nutrients to the heart (coronary arteries) become narrowed or blocked due to plaque buildup (atherosclerosis). This reduces blood flow to the heart muscle, leading to chest pain (angina) or heart attacks.
Risk Factors: Smoking, high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes, lack of exercise, and poor diet.
